  14. Birdie is a hack that gives you datatypes loaded patterns in
  15. the window border of windows open on the default public screen
  16. (WB) (or all screens, if you set the 'PublicScreens' flag)

  20. Birdie has a command line interface and Birdie Prefs provides a
  21. preferences interface to spare you to edit your Startup-Sequence or
  22. your User-Startup.

  26. Birdie Prefs has the following features:

  28. * Uses the traditional env: envarc: dirs to save the preference file, now
  29. loading is a lot faster than before. You can "use" your settings, so that
  30. when you reset the default configuration is back.

  32. * You can test the configuration without exiting the preferences program
  33. with a 'test' button.

  35. * When you change the configuration, Birdie is broken and started
  36. again so that you can see the results at once (although there are
  37. some seconds to wait because Birdie must load the patterns)
